Last weeks are kinda hectic so I take a free time for myself and my family. But there is still progress in Project SoA.
Most of progression happens on About section and also in my head with another things shaping whole game design
document. In game there are new Water, whole island is now filled with paths and I currently works on creating biomes on
whole island. More about in article.
#2 Procedural generation with UE5
After utilizing first core game loop - killing mobs & leveling up I decide to make something more visual and started digging in new Procedural Content Generation (PCG for short) introduced with newest UE5. It still kinda buggy and has some limits. But its already shows their powers with comparison to previous method of Foliage Instances tool. PCG works in graph-like base with In an Out pins and transformations between. PCG happens in Square volumes and can react to landscape, their slope.
